Mohawk Medbuy is a Canadian national shared-services organization that manages procurement, warehousing and accounts payable for hospitals and community healthcare providers. To move AP processing to a shared-services model for nine hospitals they selected Basware for AP automation, but faced multiple integration points, unexpected invoice volumes and year‑end backlogs while also needing to reduce staff and manage significant process change.

Basware’s Business Consulting team was engaged at implementation, one month post‑go‑live and again two years later to provide short‑term action plans, configuration and process guidance, and a 360° maturity review that produced a 30‑item improvement roadmap.
