Huntsman Corporation, a global chemical manufacturer, faced significant Accounts Payable challenges during a multi‑year centralization of shared services—chiefly duplicate payments, limited visibility into errors, vendor master file issues, multiple ERPs and insufficient capacity to identify and recover lost payments across its global operations.

After running a proof of value with Basware, Huntsman deployed Audit & Recovery and the DataShark platform to identify, recoup and prevent errors. The program confirmed 90% of suspected duplicates, recovered $3.5 million over three years and prevented about $5 million in duplicate payments in 2023, improving cash flow and reducing recurring invoice errors through ongoing, proactive monitoring.
