Carlsberg Denmark, a beverage business sending about 45,000 invoices a month (≈540,000/year), faced rising postage costs and growing customer demand for email invoices. Many recipients were small businesses that couldn’t accept advanced e-invoice formats, so Carlsberg needed a simple, scalable way to convert printed invoices to electronic delivery without disrupting operations.

Carlsberg implemented Basware’s integrated e-invoicing and email-PDF delivery, built a cost-saving business case, and rolled the solution out in 2015–2016.
