Centralizing invoice and order flow worldwide with Basware

VINCI Energies, a VINCI Group subsidiary operating in 52 countries with 1,600 business units, faced rising decentralization after rapid growth and more than 100 acquisitions. The CIO launched a program to rationalize IT and centralize invoicing and order processes — including mandatory electronic submission to France’s Chorus Pro — because the existing French e-invoicing solution was obsolete and inconsistent across countries.

After a competitive tender, VINCI Energies selected Basware (e-Invoice Sending, e-Invoice Receiving, e-Order) for its international reach and multi-channel capabilities. A phased rollout began in 2017, consolidating EDI, PDF, portal and scanned invoices and expanding to multiple countries, followed by order digitization in 2018; the platform aims to handle 3 million invoices, 1 million digitized invoices and 1 million orders by 2022, delivering centralized flows, standardized processes, and improved productivity and traceability.
