Unite Us helps connect health and social service providers so vulnerable populations can get coordinated care across housing, employment, counseling, clinical support, and more. The challenge was maintaining a single universal client profile across a distributed network when names and birthdates were often the only reliable identifiers, leading to missed matches and duplicate records. Unite Us worked with Basis Technology and its Rosette name matching product to improve search and record matching.

Using Basis Technology’s Rosette plugin for Elasticsearch, Unite Us added intelligent name matching that handles nicknames, misspellings, transposed names, and other variations, helping providers find existing records faster and reduce duplicates. The impact has been significant: complaints about duplicate entries have dropped, PA Serves has processed 3,570 referrals since 2016 and cut administrative time by 85%, and Unite Us can now support better care coordination with more reliable client histories.
