Farmforce, a provider of web and mobile traceability software for small-scale farmers in emerging markets, needed a way to support 50 customers across 25 countries and 150,000 end users while syncing large volumes of data over limited mobile networks. The company also wanted a proactive operations partner to help keep its SaaS platform reliable, secure, and scalable. Basefarm was brought in to manage AWS operations and help Farmforce grow globally.

Basefarm implemented and managed Farmforce’s AWS environment, including Guided Operations, Frontline Operations, infrastructure-as-code, 24/7 monitoring, Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon ECS, and Amazon RDS. This gave Farmforce improved uptime, better performance, and the ability to scale efficiently across 25 countries while handling both VMs and containers in one cloud platform. Basefarm’s support helped Farmforce expand its capacity and reach without data synchronization becoming a bottleneck.
