Cla-Val triples production output with future-proof labeling

Cla-Val, a global valve manufacturer, faced mission‑critical labeling problems: handwritten labels, fragmented data, and printer failures that caused tens of thousands in annual shipping errors and forced costly inventory audits. To modernize labeling across production, warehousing, and fulfillment, Cla-Val turned to BarTender (Seagull Software’s labeling platform) to replace manual processes and enable reliable, automated printing.

Using BarTender—implemented with partner Integrated Productivity Systems—Cla-Val upgraded to a BarTender server, standardized and reconfigured 50 printers, implemented a REST API to print directly from their ERP, and moved to 2D Data Matrix barcodes. The solution saved an average 20 seconds per label across 200,000 SKUs, eliminated annual inventory audits, dramatically cut shipping errors and costs (hundreds of thousands per year), and enabled a tripling of production output while future‑proofing their labeling operations.
