American Wick Drain achieves inventory visibility and control

American Wick Drain (AWD), a midsize manufacturer of geocomposite drainage products, was hampered by outdated manual labeling—handwritten tags, ink stamps, and preprinted stickers—that limited traceability and led to shipping errors and inventory inaccuracies. To modernize operations, AWD partnered with BarTender (alongside ScanForce and Accounting Systems, Inc.) to replace manual workflows with an automated labeling and inventory solution.

BarTender was integrated with ScanForce and Sage 100 by ASI to enable real-time, barcode-driven label printing and tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. The implementation eliminated manual labeling errors and delays, improved inventory visibility and control, and reduced overall shipping errors, delivering faster, more accurate shipments and a scalable foundation for future customer requirements.
