A BarTender Case Study
Mobo Druck GmbH, a midsize German packaging and printing company, needed self‑adhesive transport labels for Germany’s DPG beverage bottle deposit system that could capture large volumes of variable data and endure moisture, temperature swings and rough handling. To meet these traceability and durability demands, Mobo Druck turned to BarTender and its BarTender labeling software to design and manage the complex variable‑data labels.
Using BarTender together with TSC MX240 thermal‑transfer printers, Mobo Druck implemented a three‑segment, highly resistant label (a main scannable panel plus two logistics/control segments) that ensures data availability across the supply chain and can be read from both sides. The BarTender‑driven solution produced durable, scannable labels, sped up and secured printing (printing at up to 14 ips) and accelerated workflow — the printing process is now two hours faster than with the previous system — improving overall traceability and supply‑chain transparency.
