Case Study: H&M Bay improves pallet tracking efficiency with Barcoding's barcode scanning system

A Barcoding Case Study

Preview of the H&M Bay Case Study

A Cooler Way of Tracking Temperature-Controlled Freight

H&M Bay, a premier logistics provider for temperature-controlled freight, faced significant challenges with an unreliable RFID-based pallet tracking system at its warehouse. The system often failed to read tags, forcing manual data entry and hampering productivity, especially as the company expanded to a new remote facility. They sought a more cost-effective and dependable tracking solution and turned to Barcoding for assistance.

Barcoding implemented a barcode scanning system using Zebra handheld scanners and Honeywell printers and labels. This new solution provided greater accuracy and control, allowing workers to quickly scan pallets and their locations, which streamlined the entire receiving and storage process. The results included improved efficiency, the elimination of manual data entry and human error, and significant cost savings; H&M Bay was able to deploy two barcode systems for less than the cost of their previous single system.
