Traffic management center keeps 335,000 vehicles moving 24/7 at the Frankfurter Kreuz interchange

The Hessen Traffic Center, responsible for managing one of Europe's most critical transport hubs, faced the challenge of monitoring over 335,000 vehicles daily at the Frankfurter Kreuz interchange. To prevent bottlenecks and use the road network more effectively and safely, the center required a robust 24/7 visualization solution. They partnered with Barco to implement a state-of-the-art traffic management system.

Barco installed a massive 32 m² UniSee LCD video wall, providing a seamless, bezel-less overview of the traffic situation. This was supported by a Barco TransForm N system to manage and distribute all media sources. The solution gives operators a continuous, high-resolution view of 2,000 km of highway, enabling real-time route adjustments and significantly increasing road capacity during peak times to prevent jams and enhance safety.
