The customer, Shanghai Zhang Yuan, a historic Shikumen complex, faced challenges in creating a unified, large-area projection mapping show across its nine diverse alley facades due to their complex materials and shapes, which demanded exceptional projector color performance and warping capabilities. Barco provided the solution with its UDX and UDM series ultra-high brightness laser projectors to meet these visual requirements.

Barco implemented thirty-four of its projectors, whose wide color gamut and constant light output technology delivered rich, accurate colors and stable images. The professional Barco team expertly installed the projectors to achieve seamless blending and geometric correction across the complex surfaces. The result was a perfectly integrated, realistic visual experience that restored the urban style of old Shanghai and provided a reliable, long-term display for the immersive exhibition.
