Polish oncology center chooses certified quality of Barco’s diagnostic displays

The Beskid Oncology Center, a modern Polish medical facility, sought the highest quality diagnostic imaging technology for its new extension to improve cancer treatment. They required advanced displays that met strict European Commission quality requirements. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Barco, selecting their Coronis and Nio diagnostic displays to be integrated into the hospital's AGFA PACS system.

Barco provided a solution consisting of multiple high-resolution diagnostic displays and controllers for radiology and mammography applications. This technology enables the radiology team to perform more accurate interpretations and identify lesions that might be missed on conventional monitors. The director of the center stated that the effectiveness of treatment in such high-quality centers is up to 30 percent higher, making Barco's technology a key component in their mission to become a reference center for cancer care.
