New Tesla Gigafactory opens with over-the-top UDX mapping

Tesla required a large-scale, dynamic projection mapping for the Cyber Rodeo, an event celebrating the opening of its new Gigafactory in Austin. To transform the massive factory wall into a canvas for a digital artist's work, the audiovisual integrator ATX Event Systems chose to use Barco UDX-4K40 projectors for their reputation of premium performance and reliability.

The solution involved deploying 32 Barco UDX-4K40 projectors across 16 scaffolding towers to cover the enormous wall. Managed remotely using Barco's Projector Toolset, the projectors performed flawlessly in a challenging outdoor environment. The Barco-powered result delivered a spectacular "wow factor" for event guests and the livestream audience, successfully transforming the factory into a moving work of art and exceeding Tesla's expectations.
