New interactive ride in Walibi excites visitors of all ages

Walibi Belgium, a theme park in Belgium, sought to expand its offerings with new family-friendly attractions that would appeal to visitors of all ages. They partnered with vendor Barco to implement projection technology for a new interactive dark ride called Popcorn Revenge.

Barco supplied eight laser phosphor projectors for the ride. This solution provided razor-sharp image quality and very low noise levels, which were critical for creating a fully immersive experience. The reliability of the Barco projectors also minimized maintenance needs and downtime. The managing director stated the ride exceeded expectations with unsurpassed projection quality, contributing to the park's success and award nominations.
