The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture sought an unforgettable, jaw-dropping opening event to promote cultural development in Saudi Arabia. The challenge was to project a stunning visual display of Saudi history onto the challenging, modern tubular surfaces of the building's facade. Barco was chosen to provide the projection technology for this task.
Barco’s solution utilized 52 projectors, specifically 26 HDQ-2K40 and 26 HDF-W30 models, to power a massive projection mapping. This technology delivered the phenomenal light output, reliability, and flexibility needed to create an immersive experience with vivid colors and sharp images on the difficult surface. The result was one of the world's most stunning projection mappings, which successfully created a breathtaking and unforgettable inauguration event.
