The City of Winnipeg, lacking a robust freeway system, previously relied on slow, manual reporting to manage traffic incidents. To improve its response time and situational awareness, the city invested in a new traffic management center and partnered with Barco.

Barco implemented its TransForm N streaming media platform, Control Room Management Suite software, and an OverView IVD-5521 video wall. This solution integrated numerous data sources and traffic cameras onto a centralized display, enabling operators to share real-time information and remotely adjust signals in minutes instead of days, leading to smoother travel for residents.
