INTER installs new control room cockpit for state-of-the-art blood laboratory at Zuyderland Hospital

Zuyderland Hospital, a healthcare provider in the Netherlands, required a centralized monitoring solution for its new, fully automated blood laboratory. The challenge was to efficiently manage and monitor test results coming in from multiple advanced equipment lines across two separate sites. To address this, systems integrator INTER implemented a control room cockpit utilizing Barco's OpSpace and SecureStream solutions.

The solution involved deploying several ergonomic Titan control room workstations equipped with Barco OpSpace, allowing staff to freely view, monitor, and share around 20 different data sources with a single keyboard and mouse. Barco SecureStream enabled secure media sharing with other locations. This setup from Barco provided high availability through redundant components and allowed for faster detection of testing anomalies, eliminating the need for staff to check each piece of equipment manually and significantly improving operational efficiency and reliability.
