Immersive pop-up digital art installations on tour in the San Francisco Bay area

The non-profit Immersive Arts Alliance challenged Barco to provide a projection solution for its traveling outdoor art exhibition. The Mobile Light Art Station required equipment that was not only bright and high-resolution enough to create fully immersive, large-scale art on historic buildings but also rugged and reliable enough to withstand the demands of a tight tour schedule with frequent setups and breakdowns.

Barco provided two UDX-4K40 laser projectors for the solution. These projectors delivered the necessary 4K UHD resolution and 37,500 lumens, creating stunning visual experiences with what the executive director called "razor-sharp clarity and stunning colors." The compact and robust design of the Barco units sped up setup times and performed flawlessly throughout the tour. The result was a highly successful exhibition that engaged local communities and city officials, effectively bringing art and imagination into urban spaces.
