Immersive Barco-projected spectacle shows how machines dream

Refik Anadol Studio sought to create a highly ambitious and imaginative AI-driven art exhibition, "Machine Memoirs: Space," requiring flawless and brilliant projection to bring its complex data visualizations to life. The challenge was to find a technology partner that could meet the artist's exceptional standards for color, brightness, and reliability to translate thousands of hours of algorithmic computation into a perfect immersive spectacle. Barco was selected to provide this critical projection technology.

The solution was implemented using 18 Barco 3-chip DLP digital projectors, chosen for their superb image quality, vivid colors, and stable operation. This technology ensured every pixel of the AI-generated art was presented with perfection, directly mapped onto the physical architecture of the gallery. The results were overwhelming, with the Barco-powered exhibition attracting over 40,000 visitors in its first four weeks and receiving highly positive feedback from the public and press, marking a significant success after a period of pandemic-related inactivity for the event partners.
