A Barco Case Study

Preview of the International Fashion House Case Study

High fashion brand makes a splash at New York Fashion Week

The international fashion house faced the challenge of creating an immersive product workshop event across five floors of a New York warehouse for Fashion Week. They required a complex video system to send feeds from 26 cameras to 72 uniquely positioned monitors without unsightly cables or operational hiccups, a feat a simple routing system couldn't handle. To meet this, their technology partner, DWP Live, turned to Barco for a solution.

Barco's solution involved a decentralized system using five E2 Event Master processors placed throughout the building, connected via fiber optic cable to drastically reduce cabling. All video feeds were centrally managed from a single control point on the fifth floor using a Barco EC-210 large event controller, which allowed for easy routing and pre-set cues. The implementation was a major success, operating flawlessly throughout the high-stakes event and representing one of the largest temporary installations in terms of output connections for Barco and its partners.
