Garland Power & Light (GP&L), a municipal utility in Texas, faced a challenge with its outdated analog control room map-board that could not provide the real-time data needed for effective system monitoring and rapid response. Barco implemented an 8x4 array of its UniSee LCD displays powered by the TransForm N CMS software platform. This solution provided GP&L's operators with a common operating picture, integrating data from various networks for real-time decision-making. The results included complete situational awareness, improved operator efficiency and collaboration, and elevated customer satisfaction for the city of Garland.
