Barco helps Brussels Mobility Center to keep city traffic flowing

The Brussels Mobility Center, responsible for traffic and public transport in Belgium's capital, needed a high-performance visualization solution to efficiently monitor a vast number of sources and systems from a single control room. The historical building's space constraints and the impracticality of using numerous physical screens posed a significant challenge. They partnered with Barco and multitechnical services company EQUANS to implement Barco's OpSpace operator workstations and UniSee video walls.

Barco's solution allowed operators to access and control all applications and camera feeds from a single pixel space using one keyboard and mouse, drastically reducing screen clutter. The implementation improved ergonomics and operational fluidity for 24/7 monitoring without system latency. Barco's technology was also deployed in crisis and training rooms, a backup control room, and mobile command vehicles, enabling seamless information sharing and secure access across the entire organization.
