The French cinema chain MK2 and property developer Altarea embarked on an ambitious project to create a family-friendly aquatic experience called Océans at the CAP 3000 shopping center. Their challenge was to design a deeply immersive attraction that would enhance the shopping center's innovation and offer visitors a unique and engaging journey from the beach to the depths of the sea. For the technical realization, their chosen partner, ID Scènes, needed a projection solution that offered the right combination of quality, brightness, and value.
ID Scènes implemented a solution using Barco’s G60 projectors after a market study confirmed they provided the superior blending, high performance, and flexibility required. The Barco projectors enabled a dramatic 360-degree ground-to-ceiling visual experience that totally surrounds visitors, complemented by interactive touch sensors. This solution from Barco provided the creative freedom for compelling visual storytelling, resulting in a significant wow effect for entertainment and educational purposes, all while ensuring a low total cost of ownership for the operators.
