Barco brings medieval history to life at the Yper Museum

The Yper Museum, located in the UNESCO-listed Cloth Hall in Ypres, Belgium, sought to bring the region's medieval history to life through a modern and interactive experience for its visitors. They turned to technology partner Ocular, who implemented a solution from vendor Barco to meet this challenge, utilizing their high-resolution projectors and a show controller.

Barco provided the technology for a unique projection-mapping installation, specifically using F80-4K9 and F80-4K7 laser phosphor projectors along with a Medialon Showmaster controller. This solution created a fully immersive show that gives visitors a window into the past, reliably operating with the simple click of a button. The implementation by Barco's partner helped the museum thrilledly work towards its goal of attracting 35,000 visitors per year.
