Barco brings light to the riversides of Jiang’an

The Jiang'an River Park, a public park in Chengdu, China, faced a challenge in creating a large-scale, seamless floor projection on its Culture Square. The installation needed to cover an irregularly shaped, 67m x 18m area with overgrown curving edges, requiring complex image warping and blending. The climate and demands of frequent outdoor use also placed stringent requirements on the hardware's reliability. Barco was selected to provide a solution using its UDX-W22 projectors.

Barco implemented a solution using twenty-one UDX-W22 projectors, leveraging their 3DLP technology for sharp images and powerful processing for precise warping and blending on the irregular surface. The projectors' compact, robust design with cooling functions and modular components ensured reliable operation in the demanding outdoor environment. This Barco installation created a stunning, immersive spectacle for "A Night Tour of Jiang'an," transforming the area into a dynamic public space that draws residents and enhances the city's cultural image with vibrant, interactive visuals.
