Barco and VamsTec support Croatian radiologists after devastating earthquake

The General Hospital 'Dr. Ivo Pedišić' in Sisak faced a devastating earthquake that severely damaged its infrastructure, forcing its radiology department to work from home. Already under-equipped with diagnostic displays, the hospital's ability to review medical images was critically impaired. Barco and its local partner VamsTec addressed this challenge by donating several of their clinical review and diagnostic displays.

The solution implemented by Barco and VamsTec was a donation of Barco MDRC-2321 clinical review displays and Nio Color 2MP diagnostic displays. This allowed the radiologists to view CT, MR, and x-ray images from their temporary home offices with the same precision and diagnostic confidence as they had in the hospital. The result was the restoration of critical imaging capabilities during a period of immense hardship for the hospital and its staff.
