Barco and partners upgraded Synra Dome with advanced projection technology

The Science Museum in Tokyo, operated by the Japanese Science Foundation, needed to upgrade the projection system for its Synra Dome theater to reliably provide high-quality 3D imagery in a cost-effective way. They partnered with vendor Barco to address this challenge.

Barco implemented a solution using six F35-AS3D projectors, which leveraged advanced projection lenses and RealColor technology. This Barco system delivered greater stability, seamless imagery with brightness up to 7,500 lumens, and more vibrant colors, resulting in a highly immersive experience for audiences. The project was a success, with the museum's engineer noting the technology met all challenges and brought science to life.
