HR Wallingford, a specialist in solving complex water-related challenges, operates a ship simulation center with two bridge simulators. To improve the realism and object recognition for training pilots and tug masters, they faced the challenge of upgrading their display systems to a higher resolution. This led them to partner with Barco for a projection solution.

Barco addressed this need by providing two arrays of seven F90-4K projectors each, equipped with specialized 90° elbow lenses for a 360° field of view. This Barco solution, implemented via ST Engineering Antycip, delivered brighter, higher-resolution images. The result was a significantly more realistic experience for users, with customers noting major improvements in both day and night-time simulations.
