Segs4Vets is a volunteer-driven nonprofit that provides Segway personal transport units to U.S. veterans with severe, service-related disabilities, a program that has grown to over 1,000 units and plans for thousands more. Rapid expansion made manual inventory tracking untenable: the organization needed a way to record location, condition, parts and maintenance for thousands of Segways nationwide, often via rotating volunteers in multiple locations.
