Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA) is a U.S. federal mobilization and training center supporting over 250 units and 20,000 Reserve and National Guard personnel in the San Francisco Bay Area. PRFTA needed a user-friendly, accurate system to track several thousand government-furnished assets and inventory items (test equipment, tools, computers, etc.) and capture purchase, depreciation, warranty and calibration data—users were often not logging movements because existing processes were tedious.
