PICA Manufacturing Solutions, a global printed circuit board design and assembly company, needed an accurate, automated inventory system that integrated with QuickBooks and could track hundreds of electronic components — including complex kitted assemblies — in real time across multiple locations and vendors. QuickBooks alone couldn’t provide the real-time location, movement and assembly visibility PICA required to prevent production delays.

ASAP Systems implemented its Passport Stock Inventory with the kitting module, QuickBooks integration, Motorola handheld scanners and a barcode printer, and assisted with cloud hosting. The solution delivered real-time inventory visibility, configurable reports (exportable to PDF/Excel/Word), and synchronized accounting and inventory data, resulting in faster counts, improved forecasting, leaner supply-chain coordination and greater overall manufacturing efficiency.
