Mazda Europe, through Mazda Motor Europe GmbH in Leverkusen, needed to replace its existing client management tool to support a growing, Europe-wide environment. The Service Desk required a scalable solution for up to 2,000+ clients, parallel migration support, silent software installation, multi-domain capability, 64-bit readiness, and strong vendor support. Mazda selected baramundi software’s baramundi Management Suite after evaluating several options.
baramundi software, implemented with support from local partner Gib mbH, provided hardware/software inventory, patch management, software distribution, and operating system deployment. Mazda used the suite for a gentle migration from Symantec LiveState Delivery, then completed a Europe-wide Windows 7 x64 rollout, including application packaging, OS deployment, and data transfer for more than 1,000 systems. The solution scaled from 500 to over 2,000 managed clients and helped Mazda complete the project successfully, with the Service Desk reporting that the baramundi Management Suite met its requirements in practice.
