A Bandwango Case Study
Visit Kansas City, Kansas partnered with Bandwango in August 2020 to develop destination products and a trails program that could bring together food, culture, and history. Their goal was to create an experiential campaign that would stimulate tourism, support local small businesses, tell the cultural story of KCK, and build community pride.
Bandwango helped power the KCK Taco Trail, a gamified pass that let visitors check into taquerias and earn rewards along the way. The campaign drove strong results, including 35,915 sign-ups, 4,184 check-ins, 809 marketing opt-ins, and more than 4.7 million pageviews in its first two months, while also generating positive feedback from restaurants and significant earned media coverage that kept boosting engagement.
