The Centre for Family Medicine is a community-focused family health team in Kitchener, Ontario, serving about 35,000 patients. When two emergency COVID‑19 vaccination clinics (and later a refugee outreach clinic) needed rapid staffing, a two-person HR team faced the challenge of recruiting, interviewing, processing, and onboarding more than 100 people on a very tight timeline.
By using BambooHR’s applicant tracking, onboarding, email templates and training tracking, the team virtualized and sped up hiring and orientation—allowing them to hire 110 people in two weeks, track required training, and quickly activate new staff. The result: 104,000 vaccinations administered by August, roughly 400 hours and $10,000 saved annually, and a more organized, scalable HR process that kept clinics staffed and running.
