U.S. Cellular, one of the nation’s largest wireless communications networks, needed a better way to gather authentic feedback and prioritize ideas during workshops. Its Innovation team found that traditional “dot exercises” were ineffective and prone to bias, so it turned to Balloon and its Insight Mobility platform for a more collaborative approach.
Using Balloon’s Insight Mobility platform, U.S. Cellular ran a flight with a single question to capture ideas from small groups, achieving 100% participation. The session launched 12 balloons and received 205 pumps, helping the team reduce groupthink, increase buy-in, and quickly prioritize next steps and assign a project lead.
