The LA Angels, a Major League Baseball organization, needed a better way to gather honest feedback from a large, distributed, and highly hierarchical baseball operations team. Some employees were reluctant to speak up in meetings, especially when leaders were present, making it difficult to capture unbiased input during the draft process. Balloon helped the Angels address this challenge using its Insight Mobility platform.

Balloon enabled the LA Angels to send a flight with two draft-related questions to their baseball operations staff and collect candid responses at scale. The team received 178 balloons, giving them a broad set of insights that were used to improve their post-draft process and strengthen future decision-making. With Balloon, the Angels gained a simple way to capture feedback without the effects of seniority, distance, or technical ability limiting participation.
