How Balloon drove results and fortified great leadership at Dartmouth

Dartmouth College used Balloon, a team engagement and feedback platform, to help its Advancement Systems and Services department navigate the uncertainty and misalignment that came with the shift to remote work during the Covid-19 pandemic. As people worked from home, employees felt out of the loop and less confident speaking up, especially in cross-functional meetings and discussions about the future.

Balloon helped Dartmouth College gather questions and ideas asynchronously so every voice could be heard, including introverts and newer team members. The results of Balloon flights informed two cross-functional task forces focused on improving communication and workflow tools, and the process strengthened transparency, psychological safety, and team collaboration across the department.
