ČEZ Group, one of the largest energy companies in Eastern and Southern Europe, needed to meet strict security, legal, and operational requirements for a sensitive document-management environment tied to its nuclear power plant project. Facing rapid IT growth and a need to improve efficiency, the company turned to BalaBit and its syslog-ng Store Box (SSB) and Shell Control Box (SCB) solutions for log management and privileged-user auditing.

BalaBit implemented a high-availability SSB cluster for centralized log collection and fast search, plus SCB for session authorization, recording, and replay across SSH, ICA, and RDP. The deployment was completed in about two months and went live in July 2012. ČEZ Group reported easier log management, rapid forensic investigations, WORM-based archiving, and complete auditing of administrative changes, with SSB deployable in just a few days for log-heavy environments.
