Premaccess secures its customers' data with Bacula Enterprise Edition

Premaccess, a Swiss high-availability hosting and managed services provider, faced the challenge of professionally backing up its customers’ data within a very small time window while supporting a wide range of operating systems, scriptable client deployment, Oracle/RMAN (Flash Area and SBT) support, and an intuitive web UI for fast restores. To meet these requirements and reduce daily backup management time, Premaccess chose Bacula Systems and its Bacula Enterprise Edition.

Bacula Systems supported Premaccess through a roughly two‑month Oracle module test phase and a further two‑month final deployment, delivering Bacula Enterprise Edition with a Bacula Director on Linux, MySQL database, scriptable client rollout and fully managed Oracle backups. The result is a high‑performance, scalable open‑core backup solution that enables fast, reliable restores and significantly lowers daily backup management effort for the Premaccess engineering team, freeing resources for other projects.
