BackOffice Associates transforms Kerry Group’s Data Management Initiative

Kerry Group is a global food and beverage ingredients and solutions company (headquartered in Ireland, €5.8B revenue, 24,000 employees) that launched a multi-phase ERP rollout called Kerryconnect. The company’s original data migration process relied on manual Excel templates, homegrown validation and “super users,” which became unscalable as sites and data volumes grew—validation covered only ~50% of objects, migrations took 9–12 months of prep, and file checks created bottlenecks and long manual processing times.

In 2013 Kerry engaged BackOffice Associates to centralize and automate loading, validation and reconciliation via a single portal. The solution automated file checks, ran validations overnight, provided morning reports, and enforced security and role-based views. Results included automated file validation (previously days of work), validation time reduced from 24 to ~5 hours, early SAP load success rates up to 90%, easier scaling (20 to 200 super users), and substantial cost and time savings across the migration program.
