atWare, an IT firm in Yokohama, was struggling to keep track of employee performance and project reports. Reports were being handled manually and shared by email, which caused important information to get lost in inbox noise. Backlog was brought in to improve report management and information sharing, alongside Nulab’s collaboration tools.

With Backlog, atWare created projects to manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports in one place, making them easy to access, review, and mark as completed. This improved visibility into individual progress and potential issues, and Backlog also became useful for other business functions such as travel expense management. While no hard metrics were provided, atWare said the situation “significantly improved” after adopting Backlog.
