Creating a consistent user experience for private banking clients in different countries

ABN AMRO Private Banking, a leading wealth manager in Northwest Europe, sought to eliminate inconsistent user experiences caused by multiple regional front-ends and create a single, high-quality e-banking proposition. To achieve this, the bank partnered with Backbase, leveraging the Backbase platform and the Backbase Mobile SDK to standardize digital channels across countries.

Backbase implemented a cloud-based, service-oriented Backbase platform to deliver a responsive multi-country web portal and fully hybrid mobile/tablet apps with a unified dashboard, portfolio insights, chat, file-sharing and tailored alerts. The migration to the newest Backbase version took five months, the new German portal went live in just over a year, and more than 2,000 clients have been onboarded to ‘Mein Portal’—enabling faster product delivery and a scalable foundation for rollouts to other markets.
