Giant Magellan Telescope launches a 7-part website experience with Bachoo Studio

The Giant Magellan Telescope Organization required a website that could effectively communicate the groundbreaking nature of its new telescope to two distinct audiences: the general public and the scientific community. They faced the challenge of doing justice to such an important project and visually showcasing the telescope, which was still under construction. Bachoo Studio was enlisted to architect a digital solution.

Bachoo Studio developed a comprehensive website featuring a main public-facing section with a National Geographic magazine style and a separate, more technical "For Scientists" area. The solution leveraged stunning 3D renders and animations as central elements to visually demonstrate the telescope's capabilities, making the unfinished instrument feel present and real. For their work, Bachoo Studio received an Awwwards Honorable Mention and a CSS Design Awards Special Kudos.
