Mennekes digitizes 8,000 inspection plans with Babtec
Mennekes Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co. KG, a manufacturer of industrial plugs and charging technology, sought a consistent Computer Aided Quality (CAQ) solution to modernize its quality management system and meet the digital challenges of Industry 4.0. The company needed to move away from isolated tools and find a single system to map its quality processes. It selected CAQ software from the vendor Babtec to help optimize its workflows and establish long-term QM methods.
Babtec implemented its CAQ software to holistically manage inspection planning, statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA). The solution digitized over 8,000 inspection plans and integrated with existing ERP and production systems. As a result, Mennekes achieved significantly more accurate inspections, leaner workflows, and greater process transparency. Babtec's software provided the foundation for a fully digitized QM system, representing a major milestone on the company's path to Industry 4.0.
