Indaver delivers 20,000 households of waste-powered electricity with Babcock & Wilcox

The Belgian company Indaver, serving as the turnkey supplier and operator, faced the challenge of building Ireland's first waste-to-energy plant to deliver electricity to the grid. Babcock & Wilcox Renewable provided its Vølund technology, including the DynaGrate combustion grate, boiler, combustion control, and a selective non-catalytic reduction system for the project.

Babcock & Wilcox implemented its proven project execution methodology, which featured strong project management and close team cooperation, to deliver the plant on schedule. The project was completed without any accidents, earning multiple safety awards. The resulting facility processes 26.7 tonnes of waste per hour per line to provide electricity for 20,000 households.
