Next Steps South West provides support with prepaid Higher Education Travel Cards

Next Steps South West (NSSW), part of the Uni Connect programme funded by the Office for Students, needed a simple, secure way to fund student travel so young people could attend university and college open days. NSSW partnered with B4B Payments to use personalised prepaid Higher Education Travel Cards and an online portal to deliver targeted travel support and remove financial barriers to attending outreach events.

B4B Payments provided tailored prepaid cards and a portal that lets NSSW load funds in minutes, track expenditure and control access. Using B4B Payments’ solution, NSSW funded travel for students like Taylor to attend a UCAS exhibition and open days at the University of Exeter and University of Plymouth, helping him receive multiple university offers and begin undergraduate study in September 2020.
