UVU Students Benefit from Adopting B2W Estimate

Utah Valley University’s Construction Technologies program, part of Utah’s largest public university (≈34,000 students), prepares construction management students for industry competitions like the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC). Historically the teams relied on loosely integrated tools and spreadsheets to estimate and bid projects, which limited visibility into costs, equipment and crew planning and prevented them from advancing beyond preliminary rounds.

Through the B2W Educate program UVU received B2W Estimate software, which unified estimating, streamlined data entry and tracking, and produced more granular equipment, labor and cost reports. The students won their first-ever preliminary competition, advanced to ASC Regions 6 and 7 where they placed fourth, impressed judges with their organization and analysis, and earned two job offers—while markedly improving confidence and project insight.
