UNFI Canada, a leading distributor of organic and natural products, faced complexity in its accounts payable process due to a diverse base of international suppliers with multi-currency and varied discount requirements. Their system lacked line-level invoice matching, forcing staff to manually resolve issues, and provided poor document visibility. To address this, they partnered with B2BE.
B2BE implemented its Accounts Payable solution and a Web Portal for UNFI Canada, enabling automated line-level invoice matching and providing full visibility into all transaction documents. The implementation of EDI further automated the process by allowing electronic invoice submission. As a result, UNFI Canada significantly increased automated match rates, reduced manual work for its AP team, and laid the foundation for broader EDI integration with its suppliers.
