Sietsema Farms uses Azuga fleet tracking to improve fleet safety

Sietsema Farms, a family-owned network of farms in Allendale, Michigan with 75 years of operations and Azuga’s Q4’16 “Top Fleet” award, needed a modern telematics solution that would integrate with existing systems, cut incidents of hard braking and speeding, and prevent time card abuse across its fleet.

Azuga’s fleet-tracking platform was implemented to monitor driving behaviors (hard braking, sudden acceleration, speeding, idling, geofence events, fueling) and introduced transparent driver scorecards and a rewards program. Within six months Sietsema saw smoother, more efficient deliveries even in harsh winter conditions, reduced time card abuse through accurate activity tracking, and significant decreases in speeding and hard braking, making coaching and recognition easier.
